Naming Rights

1. To name something (e.g., a building, room, award, scholarship, etc.) after an individual can be noble. However, this honor is normally reserved for the saints, the blesseds, or historic Catholic figures of indisputable faith and valor.

2. However, this honor may be given to another person, usually only after death, only after consultation with the bishop or the chancellor.
