5.G.7 Recording and Reporting First Holy Communion

1. The name of the recipient, the names of the parent(s), the date and place of baptism or of reception as well as the date, place and minister of the First Communion are to be entered into the Register of First Communions of the parish in which it is administered.

2. Notification of the parish of baptism or reception is not required but is a courtesy. However, reception of notification by the parish of baptism or reception may be made in the top half of the space designated for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

3. The first reception of Holy Communion by all who are initiated into the Church at the Easter Vigil or another time should be recorded in the Register of First Communions of the parish.
